Instructor: Eric Rector
- Zoom Class
- One session of 1.5 hours, Monday, Jan 11th, 12pm to 1:30pm
I’ve always wondered why Vermont has a world-wide reputation for dairy and cheese even though Maine’s dairy industry is just as old and important to this state. I dive into Maine’s earliest agricultural records — annual Reports of the Board of Agriculture beginning in the 1850s — and then into the company records of one of Maine’s longest running cheese factories to find out why.
One session of 1.5 hours, Monday, Jan 11th, 12pm to 1:30pm – $10
Eat More Cheese at 94 Main Street in Belfast will be offering an $18 platter of a variety of cheeses to those taking this class.
Eric Rector has been making and selling cheese for over 20 years in Waldo County, Maine. He is past President of both MOFGA and the Maine Cheese Guild.
