This course will focus on learning about different artists throughout history who not only painted but had a unique drawing style. DaVinci, Klee, Matisse, J.W.Turner and Peter Paul Rubens will be some of the artists whose work we will look at, focusing on their drawing styles. These artists made countless preparatory drawings before each painting/sculpture they did; however drawings are often overshadowed by painting and sculpture. This will be a hands on class where we will be drawing in the style and subject matter of these masters. Class is open to all drawing skill levels from beginners to advanced students. Make sure you bring your own drawing supplies to class. Some homework assignments may be given. We'll be working in black and white as well as color.
