Do you have trouble sleeping? Do you often feel overwhelmed, anxious or stressed?

Women often carry the mental & emotional load of others, and for decades! All that holding of our friends & family can be exhausting.

Hester invites you to tend to your exhaustion with a guided relaxation practice you can experience from the comfort of your own bed. First we lie down, then follow prompts for breath sensing, body sensing and guided imagery to reach a deep level of relaxation. It's okay if you fall asleep, you will still benefit. No experience or movement necessary.

The class sessions will be 60-90 minutes. Things you will need:

  • A quiet place to lie down (such as your bed, couch, recliner)
  • Pillows and blankets
  • Something to cover your eyes such as a t-shirt or an eye pillow
  • A journal & pen
  • A small stone you can hold in the palm of your hand

Hester Kohl Brooks is a Certified Daring to Rest Yoga Nidra Facilitator and Rest Coach based in Lincolnville, Maine. She empowers exhausted women through 1:1 coaching, deep rest events, and retreats to create a personal rest practice so they can make choices that support their well-rested life.

Registration for classes opens on Tuesday, June 10th at 12:00 noon.


Course Proposal Deadlines

Fall 2025:
DUE June 30, 2025 (Classes start 3rd week in September.)

Winter 2026: 
DUE Nov 1, 2025 (Classes for Winter must be held remotely via Zoom. They start the 3rd week in January.)
