Propose a Course

Anyone can propose a course, or an idea for a course you’d enjoy attending, to our Curriculum Committee. Usually members propose courses they want to teach based on their interests and experience. There is a wide variety of subjects, and popular courses are sometimes repeated. Check out some past courses for an idea of our recent offerings: Spring 2025, Winter 2025, and Fall 2024.

We welcome new and interesting concepts and first time teachers! We are here to answer your questions and support you in developing a course idea.

Note: Hybrid classes, which as both in-person and remotely via Zoom, have been discontinued until we can master the setup for these. Please do not submit a proposal for a hybrid class until we are ready to accommodate them.

Email your idea or questions to our Curriculum Chair, or fill out an online course proposal.

What Happens After Submitting My Course Proposal?

The Curriculum Committee meets to review and approve courses after the deadline for submissions.

You will be contacted by a volunteer instructor liaison to ensure both you understand our expectations and we understand what you intend for your course. Your instructor liaison is the primary contact person for you up until your course starts.

You will be notified once your course is approved for the upcoming semester (or if it needs to be moved to a future semester due to scheduling logistics or duplicate topics).

Reach out with questions anytime.
