This workshop will explore different ways of making a watercolor painting, suitable for framing, from a photograph. Photos will be analyzed with respect to different criteria, including composition, value, shapes and color selection. Students will produce different paintings from one photograph, depending on which criteria they choose to analyze. The instructor will demonstrate the process with a sample photo during the first session.
Each class member should bring their own selection of paint colors, brushes, paper, water container, tissue, paper towels, pencil and eraser and a photo to work on.
