In 2023, Belfast fiber artist Jane McLean created an exhibit of twenty 12-inch panels, "Circles of My Life: A Fiber Art Celebration of My First 75 Years." In this workshop, attendees will view several of these richly-embellished panels. They will learn about Jane's process of telling a personal story through textiles in traditional patterns. Then they will create a framed 8"x8" wall hanging based on the Folded Star pattern. All materials will be provided, and no sewing is required. Jane McLean is an accomplished needleworker whose exhibit "Circles of My Life: A Fiber Art Celebration" tells the story of her first 75 years. She is a retired speech-language pathologist and special educator, and a lifelong performer. She has taught classes in family storytelling at Belfast Senior College.
