This a class about how we fall in love with boats as children and adults, and about local boats, boating, and boating resources here in MidCoast Maine.

It should give folks a chance to dream about past and future boating, and my photos should remind students of how special our coast and harbor are as we wait for summer to finally arrive.

Kayaking, Sailing, Boat identification, Boat books and movies, and Local boating resources will all be touched on.

Instructor: James Owen

I have taught this class before the pandemic, and another class about learning to write poetry. I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching, taught middle school for some years, changed careers and became a counselor, and retired after being both an EAP counselor and regional manager providing training and administrative services for most of my working life. I have taken adult education workshops and classes. I like to teach.
