Registration

April 30, 1975 the last American troops and personnel left Vietnam after nearly 20 years. This 50th year marks the unification of the country and freedom from foreign intervention. Mike Hurley will lead this class which will provide an overview of the war, the events leading up to it, the conduct of the conflict, and the surprising outcome. Different speakers will present different experiences of the war.

All of us who lived through this chaotic period will consider our own perspectives on the war, the protests, peace marches, treatment of returning troops, PTSD, and the resulting divisiveness of the American people. Mike will describe his recent trip to Vietnam as the country celebrated 50 years of unification.
