This course will continue our exploration of artists through history who used their sketches and drawings to imagine and complete their final masterpieces.

Some of the artists whose drawing styles we'll be studying in this course will be Grant Wood, Thomas Hart Benton, Don Collins, and Claude Monet. We'll also be looking at the black and white photographs of Ansel Adams and Berenice Abbott to see how they composed their final works of art.

The creative process usually begins with an idea or ideas, sometimes transferred to paper or is just part of the artist's mindset. We'll explore this also.

Please bring your own drawing materials to class. Homework assignments and class discussions will be an integral part of this class.

***You do not need to have taken previous "Drawing Through the Ages" classes to take this class. All are welcome.
