Substance abuse has a huge impact in our communities. When one person has an addiction, the lives of that person, his or her family, co-workers, social network, and community resources are all affected.

In this course, we will address how addiction develops and its effects on the body, mind, and soul. We will discuss the most commonly abused substances.

We will focus on how families are impacted by the addiction of a family member, and what treatment options exist for support of the addict, his family and associates.

Note that this is a basic informational course; it is not therapy.
