Photography, the Language of Light

If you're interested in photography, this workshop will enhance your awareness of light and improve your skills with any camera. We will dive into what elements make good images by studying excellent photos from around the world and put this knowledge to work during fun, in-class photo sessions.

We will address the whole photo process; from your intuition, to working a scene, to image capture, to easy editing of photos and sharing your work with the universe. The workshop is designed to help folks at any skill level and the use of cell phone cameras is perfectly adequate.

Instructor: Jim Kosinski
Jim is a popular photography teacher who has been giving classes at the college for several years. His book 'Maine Coast Outings on Penobscot Bay: for All Ages and Abilities' helps seniors, families and those with disabilities select from 25 appropriate outings around the bay from Monhegan to Castine.
