Photo Editing for Non-Photographers

This course will review the basics of image editing - the concepts, terminology, the common situations, and typical easy solutions. We will go slowly, but each week, we will progress to more and more interesting challenges by editing selected images to improve them.

Students can bring images to class that we can work on. We will not be covering image editing ON a smartphone, but images taken BY smartphones will be edited.

We will cover how to prepare images for sharing online or printing.

Basic computer literacy is expected:
How to start the computer, start an app, navigate the file system, open and save files, etc.

Doug is an avid amateur photographer and has used a dozen photo editing programs himself. He has taught several courses for Senior College and is an active volunteer.
