AI is the talk of the town! But what exactly is it? How can I make use of it? How can I protect myself from it? Is AI as dangerous as some say? In this talk, we'll explore all those questions.

This talk offers a first look at the state of AI today from the average person's perspective. Prepare to be surprised!

FREE and OPEN to the public, held at the Belfast Free Library on Monday, November 9, from 4:00 - 5:30 PM in the Abbott Room.

Registration is helpful to us, but is not required.

Co-sponsored in partnership with the Belfast Free Library.

Presenter: Doug Chamberlin

Doug Chamberlin spent his career pursuing the appropriate use of technology. As a software developer, systems analyst, and database designer, over 40 years he observed both inappropriate deployments and appropriate use. He wonders if we have gotten better at this.

Today, Doug helps Belfast Senior College with its technical challenges and shares his knowledge by teaching tech courses.

We affirm their inherent tribal sovereignty, pay respect to elders past and present, and commit to the ongoing work of truth-telling and decolonization in Maine and beyond.
