Are you wondering why it is important? Unsure of how to start that conversation with those closest to you? Join the Palliative Players at their performance of End Stage. Through improvised role playing, they act out possible end-of-life scenarios and conversations and offer suggestions for talking with loved ones.

Afterwards, they will walk you through the advance directive and some of the common sticking points. You can ask questions and learn how to get help filling out your own advance directive.

    HEALING THROUGH LAUGHTER

ATTENTION!  CANCER PATIENTS, SURVIVORS & CARE-GIVERS

Belfast Senior College - Belfast Community - United Farmers Market

    A CELEBRATION OF LIFE!

Saturday, June 10, 2023 9:30am United Farmers Market

Cancer patients, survivors and caregivers you are invited to the beautiful Bay View Room at Belfast's United Farmers Market to celebrate life through music and laughter.

When humorist Izzy Gesell was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2001 he was forced to take his own advice about the spirit strengthening power of humor. Izzy can help you and your loved ones deal with the impact cancer can have on relationships and personal development.

Walk in with coffee, tea, find a table, and listen to favorite local band, Ezra & Jessica, and laugh, yes, laugh as the on-going challenges of this disease are met head-on through a short performance presentation by Izzy, a man who dealt with cancer.

    LAUGHTER, A HEALING PROCESS!

June is National Cancer Survivors month. Thousands will gather across the globe to honor cancer patients and survivors and to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be fruitful, rewarding, and even inspiring. If people living with cancer connect with each other through laughter, celebrate milestones, and recognize those who have supported them along the way, it is truly a celebration of life.

This event is free of charge because the last thing someone dealing with cancer or grief needs is another expense. Add this laughter healing event to your calendar. You will be glad you came!

MUSIC WILL BEGIN AT 9:30 am, Izzy at 10:15 am
